This year Paramount have been working with FareShare to reduce food waste and fight hunger. FareShare is a charity that redistributes surplus food to charities and community groups.
Between January and March 2022 Paramount donated over 8 tonnes of surplus food. That’s over 19,000 meals, distributed to over 800 charities.
These charities include those supporting children and families, people experiencing homelessness, people with mental health conditions, and community groups serving older people.
As well as helping to reduce food waste, donating surplus products can also have a positive environmental impact. Paramount’s donated meals saved over 12 tonnes of C02e and over 120 million litres of water from going to waste.*
