Our Taste of the West Gold Award Winners!

Two of our best-selling gluten-free seafood products have been awarded GOLD at this year’s Taste of the West Awards – our Ultimate Fish Pie and Gluten-Free MSC Coated Whitebait (headed and gutted).

Taste of the West are the largest independent regional food group in the UK, promoting quality, integrity and provenance since 1991. They champion all of the incredible food and drink produced and served across Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire to prove, that when it comes to what you eat and drink, it really is best in the South West.

This year our products faced stiff competition with over 1100 entries from some of the best food and drink producers in the country, so we couldn’t be more pleased that two of our products picked up the highest level of awards.

ULTIMATE FISH PIE

This mighty fish pie is a generous portion at 530g and it’s gluten-free! Made with hake, salmon, smoked haddock and juicy king prawns in a creamy leek sauce topped with our signature mashed potato and finished with grated cheese.

GLUTEN-FREE MSC COATED WHITEBAIT

These tasty little fish are headed and gutted, brilliant for those who don’t like to eat whole fish, and lightly coated in gluten-free breadcrumbs, plus they’re MSC-certified sustainable! They’re brilliant for tapas dishes, sharing platters, starters and bar snacks and only take minutes to cook!

Each bag is 454g and contains 3-4 generous starter size portions per bag, simply deep-fry in just 2-3 minutes and serve with your favourite dip. We love them with garlic aioli, wedges of lemon and a sprinkling of sea salt, or sprinkle with cayenne pepper, smoked paprika and sea salt for a devilled twist.
