The role

We’re looking for a Technical Assistant to support the Technical Manager with the smooth and efficient running of the department, including aspects of health and safety and housekeeping.

Main responsibilities will include maintaining and updating specifications across a broad supplier and customer base, creating and maintaining product information sheets, assisting with queries for customers relating to ingredients, nutritional analysis and free-from status and working closely with internal departments such as Production, QA, NPD, Engineering and Purchasing.

Hours of work

This is a full time, permanent position, with flexible Monday – Friday working hours to be agreed. Occasionally overtime will be required to meet the demands of the role.

Desirable Characteristics:

  • 2 years related experience in a food-manufacturing environment (will consider less)
  • Experience of working within a technical / quality role in a food manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate with proficiency in using Microsoft packages and technical software packages
  • A food science qualification or similar
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to correctly interpret written and oral procedures, whilst having the confidence to co-ordinate with internal departments

The role

We’re looking for someone to join our QA team as a Raw Materials QA to maintain and develop quality systems throughout the factory operations, ensuring that the highest standards of product quality and service are maintained.

Main responsibilities will include dealing with specifications and third-party certificates, ensuring all employees towards constant and never-ending improvement in the field of Quality Attributes, ensuring all factory personnel follow company’s policy on Hygiene/Dress codes, ensuring incoming product is compliant with specifications along with Paramount temperature requirements, to manage the activities of all company employees to ensure that the Company Standards are consistently achieved, to monitor the temperature of the chillers and cold store, to ensure that monitoring equipment are checked, monitoring glass and plastic within the production environment for damage in in accordance with set procedures and to ensure that the factory premises, plant, equipment and personnel hygiene are maintained at the highest standards.

Due to our ongoing success, we are looking to recruit machine operators / line setters to come and join the Paramount family.  This is an exciting and key role within a busy food manufacturing environment, which involves setting up and running one of the many production lines within our Heathfield site. The successful applicant can expect a competitive rate of pay with full and complete training to ensure they thrive within the role and organisation.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Thursday 6:00 to 17:00 or Monday to Thursday 8:00 to 19:00

Desirable Characteristics:

Experience of operating within food manufacturing environment

Experience of setting and operating machinery

Ability to work to targets

Attention to detail

Full time positions (40 hours)

Hours:

Mon – Thurs: 07:00 – 18:00
OR
Mon – Thurs: 08:00 – 19:00

Working in a busy food manufacturing environment. Duties will include putting together components, working on a production line and the packaging of finished goods.
