At the recent Billy Boy Frozen Foods annual nationwide seminar Paramount was delighted to be presented with the Billy Boy Supplier Award for Product Innovation 2003/2004. Sue Cullum, Paramount's National Account Manager was pleased to accept the award and said "Paramount is committed to product development and we see this as an important part of our relationship with our customers. We are thrilled that Billy Boy have recognised this by bestowing this award upon us and personally I was absolutely delighted to go on stage and accept the award with a huge smile on my face". This award follows closely Paramount's previous win this year for its innovative new concept product, a chic cuisine delicatessen-style savoury fish sausage in two varieties. It scooped a silver and bronze award in the Great Taste Awards 2004 for its Smoked Haddock Sausages which won a Silver Award and Tuna, Mustard and Mint Sausages which won a Bronze Award. Both sausages are available nationally through wholesale packed in 30's and for retail the sausages have just been launched under the Hannaford brand in an eye-catching, full colour retail pack with 6 sausages to a tray. They offer a unique product to the consumer, in a familiar easy to cook format. The sausages have low saturated fats and a healthy eating angle - by using seafood as the main ingredient the products are also a good source of Omega 3.
