Ali Hannaford
Managing Director

I started Paramount in 1988 and I'm totally committed to the company.  I've already seen it grown from a small shellfish packer to a leading manufacturer of quality seafood products - and I have great plans for the future.  I have a very supportive husband Reg and two sons Josh and Jake.  The whole family lives in a converted barn near Totnes and we all enjoy good
                                food, cycling, walking, ski-ing and
                                travel.


 



Francesca Johnson
Commercial Manager


Whilst not directly involved in fish, I have over 25 years experience in the Frozen Food Service industry - having worked for companies such as Buxted, Bure Valley Foods, Classic Cuisine and more recently The Ministry of Cake.  This is an exciting new challenge for me and I'm looking forward to an action packed 12 months.  I live locally with my partner Brian and our four
                                cats - they keep us busy! 

Jon Phillips
Finance Director

I have been with Paramount since December 2001 when I joined the company to help commission a 'new' computing system. I did such a good job I was asked to stay!  Since then I have been involved in many different apsects of the business.  I am married and live in Paignton.  We spend most of our spare time entertaining our two children.

I've been with Paramount since 2000, having previously worked for Fisher Foods. My strength is in people management and a "yes we can " attitude. Out of work I'm a family man, spending time with my wife Cheryl and our two daughters Sara & Amy and a Chocolate Labrador called Murphy. To relax ! That's easy good food, good company and good wine - lots                                  of it!

Julie Yeo
Sales Administration Manager


I joined Paramount in July 1999 when I was made redundant from the AA after 11 years. It was really scary starting afresh but I soon settled in and feel like I have been here forever. I'm married to Martin, and we have a son called Connor. Our spare time is spent with him, going to the beach or the park or watching him play rugby - usually in the rain!

Sales Administration & Telesales

I started with Paramount in December 2005.  This is my first full-time job out of school and I'm really enjoying it.  I'm responsible for general administration, transportation and more recently telesales!  If I ring you for an order - please be nice to me!  Outside of work, I like to go out with friends at the weekend and of course go shopping!

I have worked in the food industry for 14 years and my background is as a Chef, with particular experience in seafood.  What can I say about Paramount?  Great people, innovative products and a fantastic company!  I'm a family man and my wife Jaqui and I have with two beautiful children, Georgia and Harvey.  We love the lack of peace and quiet!

With more years than I care to admit to in the seafood industry, I have worked for Paramount for over 8 years in the finance department.  I have just migrated to the role of Buyer and am really enjoying this challenging role in our superb new factory.   I live in Torbay and my hobbies include swimming, walking my beautiful golden retriever, foreign languages, live music and
                                wine appreciation!

Mauro Sardu

Ciao! I am from the Italian island of Sardinia, although I have been in the UK since 1977. I worked in some of the best restaurants in Plymouth for 10 years until I joined Paramount in April 1998. I live with my wife Caroline and two children, Natasha and Matteo. I have a lot of interests and hobbies, including scuba diving - but cooking is my main passion!
 

 

 

Brennan Green
Non-Executive Technical Director


I'm a graduate in Food Technology and my career has included Heinz, Marks & Spencer, Rahbek Foods and BJG Associates, a consultancy advising the industry on food safety, processing & design. I'm married to Linda and have three children - Simon, David and Jack.  I used to play hockey, but a bad knee has put paid to that, so I have taken up
game fishing and golf!

 

Emma Hutchings
Technical Manager

I graduated in Environmental Science and then started in the food industry 1998 in a dessert factory. I then moved onto the sandwich industry for 4 years, mostly auditing suppliers and doing some serious air miles before starting with Paramount in 2005, 8 weeks before the BRC audit - thrown in at the deep end!
