Homeless in Teignbridge Support (HITS) are a lifeline for those in crisis in the Teignbridge community. We are looking forward to supporting them and our first ‘mission’ has been to sponsor one of their distribution vans to help them with their visibility and charity awareness in the community.
Based in Teignbridge, HITS work with homeless people and those in need in the community. They help a variety of groups, including those who are homeless, victims of domestic violence, ex-service personnel, the elderly, families in poverty, disabled people and ex-offenders.
It is a sad reality that people are increasingly having to rely on foodbanks in order to survive. HITS’ team of wonderful dedicated volunteers work hard to improve the lives of those in need.
The distributed goods are based on food bank donations and collaborations and collections from local food manufacturers and supermarkets, including Paramount. Not only does this benefit those who are in need, but it ensures that good food and toiletries do not go to waste.
We consider social responsibility of paramount importance and we look forward to being able to provide continuing support to such a fantastic local charity.
